and the KLUTZ Award goes to................

I went outside yesterday to take a clothes basket with some stuff I wasn't going to need for awhile...... I was going to store it in my trailer (which is parked just down the hill)........... I put my keys in my pocket but it was so lovely out...........the snow was fat and drifting to the ground............I decided to walk. Bad decision!! I just barely started down the hill and ......... SLIP! KaBOOM!.............flat on my back. I groaned "Oh, my back!" then wished I had put my phone in my pocket. I laid there awhile, enjoying the snow fall. My head still turned.........a couple of minutes later I tried my legs.........they still worked. Ok, I wasn't paralyzed! This is good! I eventually rolled over (should've made a snow angel while I was down there)......managed to get to my hands and knees..................now, this is a position I have trouble getting out of on a good day!! I did get to my feet, picked up the basket........shouldn't have done that!!.............put it down and left it on the hill. Broke only one dog dish in the fall. (oh, this is winter)..........toddled to the garage where Don was talking to a neighbor and asked him to retrieve the basket.............he did, I got to the house and couldn't unzip my boots to get them off..........! Don came to the house and shoveled the deck. At this point I was ready to seek an X-ray machine. He took me to Shelby where they took a photo album worth of pictures, did urinalysis, bloodwork, blood pressure was up.........I'm not sure what all that stuff has to do with a pain in my back! After all that they gave me 3 drugs worth of shots........they should've started with that!! I felt pretty good then. Could've napped! A script later, they sent me home. Finally!! I was in bed by 7:30 having taken some pain meds.......slept really good until 2 a.m. Then I had to pee! Oh yeah, the doc said I had compressed my spine..... don't do any bending. No problem!! Then he said the x-rays wouldn't be read until the next day and I should pick them up and go see my doctor! I am dreading that ride to Muskegon tho! It HURTS!!

Oh poor Em! I hope all your parts are feeling better soon. Bumbles don't bounce as well when we get older! Better get some ice grippers for your winter shoes!
